6 Ways to Integrate New Energy

Anytime you have an energy healing, complete energy work yourself or work with celestial events (such as last nights Super Full Moon/ Eclipse), there is a period of time known as integration. During integration your body basically gets used to the new energy present, releases what no longer serves you and integrates your upgrades. You may not even know you are being effected by say a new spiritual level or a cosmic event. But you feel it.

This has been the case with me. I have been feeling the shifts looong before I even knew I was experiencing a shift. It would usually come in the form of body aches, headaches and sometime with big clearing I would get food poisoning like symptoms for about 12 hours. Now I can usually anticipate when the shift is coming and prepare for it. But after that Moon last night I’ve been struck with a massive headache and body aches.

Here are a few ways to deal with what is affectionately referred to as ‘the spiritual flu’

Get MovingĀ 

This one may seem counter intuitive, but a gentle walk or a little bit of yoga can go a long way towards moving that energy around in your body to help it integrate. This one has helped me a lot, because most of the time I would want to just lay in bed, but moving is way more helpful!

Get Outside

My body makes me do this. If I skip a day of grounding I will wake up in the morning all achy and know it has to be my first priority. Sit down outside for a while, or stand with your bare feet. A good 10-20 minutes will usually do the trick. You can visualize all that you want to release flowing to and being dissolved in the earth.

Meditate

Any quiet time will help a lot too, just some simple meditation music and deep breathing is all you need. Letting your body be still and your mind quiet will take you a long way. I find that when technology seems to be messing up and I don’t feel great it means it is time to take a meditation break! Lay flat on your back to help the energy flow even more.

Salt Bath

Adding 2-3 cups of epsom salt to a bath or foot bath or if you can getting out in salt water is super healing. This is my go-to and with amount of energy work I do, I like to do at least 3 salt foot baths a week. Just sit and soak for about 30 minutes or if you are pressed for time make a salt body scrub. Really visualizing it absorbing all the energy that wants to be released.

Grounding

Simply grounding your energy by sitting with your back straight and feet flat on the floor ( or standing) and then breathing up energetically through your feet and out your crown. Stomping your feet a few times also helps with this. After you do this for a while and tune in with your body you will feel the energy coming up your feet and connecting you to the earth.

Hydrate & Nutrition

If you haven’t already starting drinking a lot of water, say 2l or 10 cups per day. Do it now. Energy work or not, being fully hydrated makes you feel great and when you are doing energy integrating you will want to drink even more! Also pay attention to what you are eating, and stick to as much plant based as possible during these times.
