I recently received this question from a client who is a total newbie to coaching and the answer is a huge YES! It is totally normal to feel nervous, especially if you have never experience law of attraction coaching, EFT or energy work before. We are very often nervous or fearful of the unknown, and furthermore we have no idea what is going to come up for us and what we may then have to deal with.
I remember my first coaching session with a spiritual/ life coach. My palms were so sweaty going in. I really hoped that she cancelled our session because I was scared! I had no idea where it would lead me. As I found out quickly the only place it lead me was to self-awareness, clarity and confidence in my self. Not scary after all, it was just fear of the unknown.
Let me put your mind at ease by saying that I will never force you to talk about anything traumatic, or anything that is uncomfortable for you. When it is the right time to clear you will know because you will be thinking about it anyway.
I love coaching in this way, it is so gentle and I hold you in a very sacred and secure place during our sessions. We only work on what is right for you at this time. Sometimes that may mean that stuff comes up and tears are shed, as we clear out these old emotions they will be felt for a few minutes but once they are clear you will feel more clarity, lightness and be open to new growth that you previously may not have been.
My best advice is to go into every coaching session with no expectations and see what you are presented with to clear at this time. I have my ways of gently coaxing out of you where the negative in your life lies, but the more honest you are with me the more you will get out of the session. Of course if you have something already on your mind than that will be our first priority and you may find that it opens up more places for you to clear.
I recommend prepping for every session with me by having a quiet and comfortable location where you won’t be disturbed, ringers off, a glass of water, some tissues and a paper and pen to jot down any insights that come to you. That is really all you need as a prerequisite for a session.
And guess what? If you are still feeling nervous after the session starts we can work on that 🙂
