I got a message from the Universe a few days ago that prompted me to write this post, I hope it helps you to see the law of attraction in a new light.
Ok so for the purpose of this post I need to pretend you are a spider (squirm, eeek), just for a few minutes. You are a spider who is constantly spinning a web. You spin from the time you wake up to the time you fall asleep. In fact the only time that you are not spinning your web is when you are fast asleep.
As you are spinning away the law of attraction is sending a steady and gentle breeze your way. That breeze contains everything. Every possibility, every experience, every person place and thing. But all of it passes right through your web unless it happens to catch on something.
Stay with me here, it’s a great analogy that will help you to better understand the law of attraction.
So for example, if you wake up and start to spin your web with love, only things that are made of love will stick to that area of your web. That means your reality will show you signs of love, people will be kind to you, you will get to do the things you love and you will continue to catch people, places and experiences that bring you more love.
Now say you wake up the next day, continuing to spin your vast web and since you were woken up by fighting kids you start the day spinning your web out of frustration. You are still catching some love from yesterday but you also start to catch frustration. You get a flat tire, you lose your keys and you get more frustrated, which makes more frustrating people, places and things stick to your web.
So what is the point of all of this?
Spin your web out of positive emotions, as often as you can. When you notice that you are spinning a web out of a negative emotion do something nice for yourself so that you can start to spin love again. Write a 5 minute gratitude list, take a shower, go for a walk. Anything to re-set. Your web is an easy way to see what is going to ‘stick’ to your reality by taking a look at the kind of web you’ve been spinning.
For reference, here is the emotional scale (from Abraham Hicks), generally speaking we want to stay at the top of the scale as often as possible. The bottom of the scale is perfectly natural and it’s fine to spin little pieces of these emotions, but you don’t want to spin them all day long because it’s going to catch some very un-appealing things.
Spin up here with these emotions for best results
Joy/Appreciation/Empowered/Freedom/Love
Passion
Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness
Positive Expectation/Belief
Optimism
Hopefulness
Contentment
Avoid spinning with these for too long
Boredom
Pessimism
Frustration/Irritation/Impatience
Overwhelment
Disappointment
Doubt
Worry
Blame
Discouragement
Anger
Revenge
Hatred/Rage
Jealousy
Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness
Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness
So remember every time you open your eyes in the morning you are spinning your web, if you want to catch things that make you feel happy spin happy! If you can’t shake a negative emotion and are spinning negative take a look at why you are spinning that way and clear those emotions with eft, forgiveness work or your favorite clearing technique.
