In my first post on chakras I explained a little bit what they are and where they are located. Today I’m going to take a closer look at the solar plexus chakra, some signs yours may be blocked and how we can care for it.
Your solar plexus is located just above your belly button and you can feel the energy in it when you are nervous or get a ‘gut feeling’ about something. The color associated with it is yellow and it is all about our personal power and how we relate to ourselves. This is a big deal. If you are lacking confidence and find yourself crossing your arms a lot to protect you solar plexus, this is an area you should have a look at!
This chakra also gets you into action, it’s at the area of your body that runs like an engine, so keeping your gut in good health can really help balance this chakra. I have had issues with this chakra for years which is only aggravated by skipping some meals and totally feasting on the next. To help balance this chakra, eat a healthy and regular diet and you will find it is much easier to take action on those daunting tasks!
So just judging by the location you can imagine that health issues such as diabetes, hypoglycemia and other digestive and organ issues can happen if a solar plexus chakra is distorted for too long.
Knowing your own worth is a huge deal to the solar plexus and when you know your worth you are that much closer to manifesting your desires. Every chakra really does it’s part, but for women this is another very important one.
Standing in warrior pose or like super woman can help to boost up your solar plexus when you’re feeling low. Try standing in one of those positions for 5 minutes and notice an immediate change in how you feel about yourself. You can also sit out and bask in the sunlight or eat ‘hot’ foods like cinnamon to get the engine moving.
My favorite way to tune up the solar plexus is to laugh as much as I can, as often as I can. It tales your whole vibration up and I recommend it daily!
